My name's Linh and I'm working in Steame Garten. In my classroom, I tried to use BookCreator to motivate my students in writing sections. With this website, they can create their own books using target grammars or vocabs. After 2 weeks, I gave the prize for the best book (the prize was their book printed out). Secondly, I ask my students' parents to connect with me on Facebook (my students are in primary), there, I assign some work that I need their helps and also posted some of students' videos on facebook to praise them.
My students love that even more when I asked them in the next lesson "Did you see your videos on facebook?". But it tooks me quite long time to engage my students' parents in their kids learning process. But it worths it. But from what I have learn in this conference, in the future I can use Facebook, RUclips, Pollev.com, Google trivia search ... to engage my students in learning.
My name is Tuyet Tran from Le Quy Don private Junior and Senior high school in Ha noi. For me, as a secondary teacher of English, using technology as a teaching aid can help us stimulate students much. As I can see, technology cannot replace a teacher but with the videos, the games and the pictures students will be attracted more and they feel excited before, during and after each lesson. I usually apply a lot of technology in teaching English. I asked my students to make audios and videos themselves and they can post their products on the internet to share with friends all over the world. Without technology, we would have no other way to do this. My lessons are always waited by the students thanks to the use of technology. Thank you VUS for giving me such a wonderful experience day with all the lecturers. Thank you so much!
